Apply Now(Open external link) to run for a seat on an Education Council!

This year, in order to submit an application, you will need an NYC Schools Account(Open external link) with all your children attending DOE schools registered to it.

If you do not have an NYC Schools Account, or need assistance registering your children to your existing account, please contact your Parent Coordinator

2. Gifted and Talented Information

Starting March 8, you can submit a Gifted & Talented application for your child. You can apply to up to 12 programs on your child’s application. There will be two ways to apply: online with MySchools(Open external link) or through a Family Welcome Center

Parents have many questions about G&T admissions. 3. Pre-K Application period begins on Wednesday, February 24t

The pre-K application for the 2021-2022 school year is now open, and the deadline to apply is April 7, 2021

4. P-EBT Food Benefit

What you need to know about the P-EBT food benefit for NYC students, as of February 10, 2021

  • The $420 food benefit for spring 2020 has been distributed to all NYC public school students. 
  • If you have not received the spring 2020 benefit, click here (bit.ly/PEBTcontactform) to contact the State, and send an email to info@foodadvocates.org
  •  It is anticipated that P-EBT food benefits for the 2020-2021 school year will be issued to eligible children no sooner than March 2021, this and more information can be found on the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance website 
  •  Please continue to visit https://otda.ny.gov/SNAP-COVID-19 for the most up to date information. You can also find additional information on what the Pandemic EBT food benefit is and who is eligible here
